Late last week, Mary and Riley announced that they’d be working on a new short film together titled Magnificat and now we have our first look at Mary in the film!
You can head on over to the film’s site or check out the pic in our gallery.
Glad to hear they’ll be including original score by Marco Beltrami from the 1982 film. If you’ve seen Carpenter’s version, you know how amazing that score is.

Fantastic news, everyone! Mary’s husband, Riley Stearns, has announced that he has written and will be directing a new short film entitled Magnificat. Here’s what Riley posted:
My name is Riley Stearns. I’ve decided to create a tumblr (did I spell that correctly?) to keep people up to date with the goings on of a film I wrote and will be directing called “magnificat” starring the lovely and talented Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
I hope to post pictures, video, and audio here from time to time and give those curious a look into the making of the film. Until then, this bland introductory post will have to do.
Be sure to follow the film’s Tumblr for updates over at http://magnificatfilm.tumblr.com/
This is really exciting news and I for one cannot wait to see the progress on the film. The very best of luck to Mary, Riley and everyone else involved in the film! 🙂
