Riley Stearns has uploaded 4 additional behind the scenes pictures from the Magnificat shoot and I have added them to the gallery here. Again, if you haven’t seen the short so far, click HERE to see it – Mary is absolutely incredible in it! 🙂
It’s been a while since we heard anything on the Magnificat front, but today, Riley took to his Twitter to reveal the poster for his short film, Magnificat starring Mary.
Hopefully we’ll get some news as to the film premiering at some festival really soon. Fingers crossed!
In the meantime, head over to the gallery to see the photo full-sized. It looks so great!
Riley took to his Magnificat site and updated us about the film.
I’ll admit it, I’m bummed Magnificat wasn’t chosen to be part of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. I was really hoping we had a shot at Park City at Midnight (the genre portion of the festival) but I knew the chances were very slim considering the number of films submitted. I did hear that they liked the short though so that’s at least a bit of a consolation.
So what’s next? Mary’s film “Smashed” is in competition at Sundance this year so I’ll be tagging along with her and hopefully seeing a bunch of great movies. As far as the short goes, we’ve submitted the film to 15 other fests so far and we’ll slowly begin to hear from them after the new year. I’m so proud of the film and excited for people to see it. Fingers crossed.
Best of luck to Riley and Mary on their short!
We saw the amazing trailer for Mary & Riley’s short film MAGNIFICAT last night, and now I’ve added the trailer screen caps to the gallery.
Click on the images below to view the full set.
Woah, woah, and woah. Check out the trailer below for Mary & Riley’s short film, MAGNIFICAT. It looks intense and I’m totally looking forward to seeing more. I’ll add screencaps tomorrow but in the meantime, enjoy pressing the replay button over and over again.
Huge congrats to Riley on the directing. Looks fab!
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
A young woman is tormented by malevolent visions that begin the bleed into reality.
Stephen Tobolowsky also stars in the film.
Fantastic news, everyone! Mary’s husband, Riley Stearns, has announced that he has written and will be directing a new short film entitled Magnificat. Here’s what Riley posted:
My name is Riley Stearns. I’ve decided to create a tumblr (did I spell that correctly?) to keep people up to date with the goings on of a film I wrote and will be directing called “magnificat” starring the lovely and talented Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
I hope to post pictures, video, and audio here from time to time and give those curious a look into the making of the film. Until then, this bland introductory post will have to do.
Be sure to follow the film’s Tumblr for updates over at http://magnificatfilm.tumblr.com/
This is really exciting news and I for one cannot wait to see the progress on the film. The very best of luck to Mary, Riley and everyone else involved in the film! 🙂
