Netflix Developing a ‘Scott Pilgrim’ Anime Series

Yes! Scott Pilgrim VS The World is coming back! This time in anime format. According to Variety, the streaming service is developing an anime series with Bryan Lee O’Malley, who created the “Scott Pilgrim” graphic novel series, and will write and executive produce the anime version along with BenDavid Grabinski. The pair would also serve as co-showrunners.

Science SARU would provide the animation. Eunyoung Choi of Science SARU will produce with Abel Gongora onboard to direct. Edgar Wright, who was behind the film “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World,” would executive produce alongside Nira Park, Marc Platt, Jared LeBoff, and Adam Seigel of Marc Platt Productions as well as Michael Bacall.

This is such exciting news! Mary is great friends with all the people involved in this project, so it would be really cool if they got the cast to reprise their character’s voices for the series, but time will tell. No word yet on the cast or release date so stay tuned for updates!

Mary’s ‘Long Way Up’ Cameo

Mary briefly appeared in last week’s season finale of Ewan McGregor’s Apple TV docu-series ‘Long Way Up’. The show follows Ewan McGregor and his friend Charley Boorman as they travel on electric Harley-Davidsons 13,000 miles through Central and South America.

Towards the end of the episode, she met with Ewan as she hopped on the back of a motorcycle for the last couple miles of his trip from Mexico to LA and then congratulated him. I posted clips of Mary’s appearance on my Twitter page and you can view it below. If you want to watch any of the eps, you can do so by visiting the Apple page here.

Nextflix has been counting down the days until the premiere of the upcoming sci-fi adult animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots and in doing so, have been releasing small clips from each of the episodes that’ll soon be streaming beginning on March 15. The full roster of shorts will cover a variety of adult topics including racism, government, war, free will, and human nature. Mary Attends the Critics’ Choice Awards

Mary attended her first Critics Choice Awards on Thursday night with the cast of Fargo. While the show itself was nominated as was her costar David Thewlis, Ewan McGregor was the one who picked up the win for his work as Ray/Emmitt Stussy in the ‘BEST ACTOR IN A MOVIE MADE FOR TV OR LIMITED SERIES’ category. Mary was also nominated in the ‘BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS IN A MOVIE MADE FOR TV OR LIMITED SERIES’, but lost out to Laura Dern.

The important thing is that she was nominated and appeared to have a good time. She rocked a pretty pastels Delpozo dress on the blue carpet and went with fellow actor/friend Ben Lewis.
